Scholastics:
Jolene completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Franklin Pierce University in Goodyear, AZ. She previously graduated from Portland State University with a OHSU-PSU Bachelors in Health Science and Public Health. She attended Willamette High School and University of Oregon in her hometown of Eugene, Oregon.
Credentials:
Jolene is certified to teach LSVT BIG, a physical therapy intensive program for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. She plans on continuing her studies to evolve her practice and follow her passions. Furthermore, Jolene is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Additionally, she is an indoor cycling instructor through Schwinn and a former NASM Personal Trainer.
Experience:
Jolene has practiced neurological, vestibular and outpatient orthopedics with a diverse patient population. Through her clinical rotations, she developed a passion for restoring physical function and independence for adults with disabilities and the geriatric population. Jolene has a strong background in employing creative practices to improve strength, balance and confidence for optimal daily function.
Achievements:
Jolene has a unique academic history, following her formative years at the University of Oregon she pursued a career in Physical Therapy at Portland State University, where she remained on the Dean’s List for four consecutive years. Through her academic journey she continues to value the skills of adaptive learning.
Hobbies:
Jolene’s hobbies include instructing group fitness classes, non-competitive boxing, rock climbing and trail running with her Husky, She also enjoys the Oregon coast, board and field games with her family and friends. Jolene is an avid podcast listener and loves documentaries, ranging from nature to human health and wellness.
